GISTs
are stranger than compare to any other cancers. Originally, GISTs were thought
to be either nerve or muscle tumors, but modern research shows that GISTs start
in the cells found in the walls of the GI tract, called interstitial cells of
Cajal (ICC). Recent advancements in curing eye cancer introduce the use of
Immunotherapy, it is considered to enhance the body's natural defenses to fight
against the Bladder cancer.Often uses resources made either by the body or in a
laboratory to reinforce, aim, or repair immune system role. Examples of
immunotherapy take account of cancer vaccines, interferon and monoclonal
antibodies. These are well established option for the treatment of GISTs.
According
to 2014 data, roughly 4,000 -5,000 adults in the United States were diagnosed

Doctor’s dilemma that whether he needs to go for Chemotherapy or Radiation
therapy. But the use of such therapies shows adverse effects on patients by
enrolling with various side effects. So, the researchers are now in search for
launching better Biological therapy includes use of Immune-Oncology, Immune
combination therapy, Antibody drug conjugates and use of Monoclonal antibodies.
Through this approach patient can be offered with affordable treatment.
Targeted
therapy is a treatment that targets the tumor’s specific tissue, genes or the
proteins surroundings that contributes to the tumor’s growth and endurance.
This type of treatment blocks the growth and spread of tumor cells while
limiting damage to normal cells. Approved targeted therapy drugs that are avail
in the market are Sunitinib, imatinib and Regorafenib are widely used for
curing gastrointestinal stromal tumor.
